Thursday will be spent settling in and getting to know each other. We'll go for an easy run to kick off the weekend then head back to the house for a little mingling, a beautiful dinner and a restful night.

Friday will be our first big day, packed with fun from sunrise to sunset. We'll start the day with a run in the Max Patch area, just off the Appalachian Trail. We'll be back in time for a nutritious lunch before our first seminar. Our On The Trail Seminar will go over trail running techniques, safety methods, gear options, on the trail nutrition and more. Before dinner, we'll discuss general running nutrition. We'll go over what to eat before, during and after runs as well as some general guidelines for runners. Dinner will be a deliciously seasonal meal made with all local ingredients. After dinner we'll hear from a local running legend on her lifetime running experience!

We'll start Saturday with another fun day of running, where we'll head south for the morning. Lunch will be back at the house followed by the Injury Prevention Seminar. We'll be going over preventative measures to steer clear of injury, different recovery techniques and some foam rolling! We'll follow that up with some beautiful outdoor yoga for runners lead by an Asheville based yoga instructor. We'll carpool into Asheville Saturday evening for a little sight seeing, exploring and of course, eating!

We'll wrap up Sunday with another morning run, a quick lunch and a mindfulness seminar. This seminar will give you some tips and techniques to keep that stress away and keep you feeling strong and relaxed before heading home. 

All meals will be provided for the weekend, Saturday evening. We will be using all local produce and whole foods to provide the some wholesome nutrition possible. For those interested in plant based eating, we will be doing a unique focus on those options throughout the weekend. All meals will be prepared in a demonstration setting for you to learn the preparation and cooking techniques if interested. 



Asheville, North Carolina

Nestled in the mountains of the Appalachians, Wheel of Bliss Retreat house was established to provide a beautiful retreat location. The property has 63 acres of mountain land that back up to over 100 acres of National Forest, 2 large streams, waterfalls, and multiple trails to hike and explore. The house is located in Hot Springs, just outside Asheville.
During our stay, you'll have the chance to explore the trails on site and enjoy the gorgeous view from the sundeck. We'll have a communal space for eating, and relaxing, then you'll have your choice of a single or shared bedroom.
