FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. I see you added a 5k/half marathon to the schedule this year. Do I have to do that?
A. Absolutely not but we figured it might be fun! Running is a big part of our retreat but none of the runs are mandatory. If you’d like to sit out the official event and just tag along on the fun runs, that’s great too. If you do want to run the 5k/half marathon, you could use this as your goal race to your next training series!
Q. How much running experience do I need to participate in the retreat?
A. None, really! We'll inviting all runners, of all experience levels. This is an all inclusive experience, meant for you to have some fun on the trail or road and learn a little in the process. Whether you're working up to 2 miles or are comfortable with a 10 miler, you are absolutely welcome!
Q. How many miles are we going to run per day?
A. Again, this is completely up to you. We'll provide options with each run, anywhere from 1 mile to 10 miles. We'll have different pace groups so you won't ever be running by yourself (unless you want to).
Q. I have dietary restrictions. Can you accommodate?
A. Yes, absolutely! Nutrition is a big focus of our's for the weekend so we will pay special attention to everyone's dietary needs.
Q. What about weekend transportation?
A. We will provide transportation for all excursions throughout the weekend. If you are flying in, we will be happy to pick you up from the nearest airport.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. If you cancel your trip, a refund will be given until September 1st, 2020. After September 1st, no refunds will be given. This is due to the short turnaround to get the space filled by another guest. If you cancel before the above date, 100% of your payment will be refunded. If you cancel 30 days or less before your retreat start date, you will forfeit your entire payment. Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer credit for a guest arriving late or leaving early.
Q. What gear should I bring?
A. You'll want to bring a variety of comfortable running clothing. Due to the time of year, we could have varying temperatures. Be prepared for cooler morning and warmer afternoons. You'll also want to bring your own running shoes and any gear you typical wear when running.
